As of Monday, May 4th 2020 the Ontario Government is allowing car dealerships to operate on an appointment only basis.

We have implemented several changes in the dealership to ensure the safety of our staff and customers, including the following:

  • Hand sanitizing stations set up at all doors.
  • Plexiglas partitions have been installed at all sales desks.
  • All customers who enter the building will be screened at our front greeter desk.
  • Customers will be able to go on test drives alone, to insure we are following proper physical distancing protocols.
  • All vehicle keys and touch points in the vehicle will be sanitized before and after each test drive.
  • The majority of your transaction can still be completed online or over the phone to comply with physical distancing.

Our service department remains open with the following changes in place:

  • We have increased our amount of daily contactless pick-ups.
  • We have implemented a sanitization schedule for all customer vehicles coming to the shop and being returned to customers.
  • Our customer lounge is now open, only to 4 customers at a time to ensure proper physical distancing.
  • We are encouraging all customers to utilize our pick up and delivery service OR our self-serve kiosk for their service appointments.

Our top priority remains the health and safety of our staff and customers. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we work through these challenging times. We will continue to update our website with changes as we move forward.

In order to comply with the new list of essential services by the Ontario Government, our showroom and building will remain closed to the public. Our building has been closed to the public for over a week now in our effort to flatten the curve and protect our customers and staff.

AN UPDATE TO OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS

Over the past few days there have been several changes and announcements regarding COVID-19. Gananoque Motors (Gan Chev) is taking necessary steps to protect our staff and customers.

We are aware of the outbreak in many communities and are doing our part to minimize the risk of infection here at Gan Chev.

We wanted to take this opportunity to share with our customers the procedures we have put into place and some temporary changes to business here at Gan Chev.

  • A new cleaning schedule has been implemented to ensure all common areas are disinfected several times a day (on top of our nightly cleaning).
  • Our service drivers are equipped with cleaning kits to ensure all customer vehicles are disinfected upon pick up and drop-off.
  • We have temporarily removed food and beverage service from our customer lounge.
  • We have set up hand sanitizing stations at all entrance ways for our staff and customers.
  • We have implemented a new vehicle disinfecting procedure for all vehicle hand offs, this includes any vehicle that is going out for a test drive. We have implemented a mandatory 14 day self-isolation policy for any staff who has travelled outside of the country. Any staff member who is ill shall report to their direct manager and then follow the self-isolation guidelines as directed by the Ontario Government.
  • We are asking all customers who have travelled or who have symptoms of CODVI-19, not to visit our dealership, but instead utilize our many online and telephone options for both our service and sales department.
  • Effective immediately we are temporarily closing our customer vehicle detailing department for the safety of our staff and customers.
  • We are still offering our well known pick-up and delivery service for customers who need to book service appointments, however we are temporarily closing our loaner fleet program to mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19.
  • For customers who need to book service appointments, but who are following the social distancing protocols, they may take advantage of our state of the art express kiosk. This allows customers to check in, pay and pick up their vehicles without face to face contact with one of our staff members.
  • Effective March 19, 2020 we will temporarily adjust our hours to maximize our staff’s time with their families, mitigate the risk of infection and assist with the governments call for social distancing and to remain home whenever possible. Sales will now be open Mon – Fri 9-5 and the dealership will be closed Saturday’s

We understand that many of our customers view our dealership as an important part of their ability to ensure their vehicle is safe and always ready to go so we are doing all that we can to mitigate risk and continue to offer the amazing service and sales experience we are known for.

We also wanted to take the time to clarify that all our extra cleaning and social distancing protocols are also being implemented at CSN Gananoque.

PLEASE READ:

Effective immediately we are closing our showroom to the public. This does not mean we are closed. We are here to help and this is how:

Service/Parts:

  • Our pick up and delivery service is still available for customers who wish to book their vehicle in for service. Please call 613-382-8500 to book an appointment with a pick up.
  • Our service waiting area has a limited capacity for customers when respecting social distancing guidelines. As such, we will have 2 options for customers to check their vehicle in for service.
  • Walk into our front doors and use our self service Kiosk. Our Kiosk allows you to check into an appointment that is already booked, or even check your vehicle in if unexpected vehicle repairs are required. You will be notified by text or email when your vehicle is in the shop being worked on and once again notified when your vehicle is ready for pick up and your keys are ready in the Kiosk. Instructions on how to drop off, pick up and pay for your service will all be on screen at the kiosk.
  • Call the dealership from your vehicle when you arrive and a service associate will come out to great you, address your concerns and check in your vehicle.
  • Please be advised that our customer lounge is closed temporarily, however our service advisors will be communicating to you by your preferred method of contact while your vehicle is being repaired (text, phone, email).
  • Our parts department is open for customers, however we are asking you to call 613-382-8888 and order or request your part over the phone. We can then arrange delivery OR deliver to your car in our parking lot.

Sales:

  • Our sales staff will be primarily working online and via telephone for vehicle inquiries, video vehicle walk arounds and payment calculations. For test drives and in dealership sales, we will be working based on appointments only. If you require personal assistance or are interested in a test drive, please call 613-382-2168 or visit our website and we will gladly book you an appointment time. This allows us to ensure a staff member is available as well as sanitize any vehicles you may be interested in test driving.
  • If you see a vehicle online that you are interested in test driving. Please text us via our website or give us a call and we can bring the vehicle to you! We will work with you to arrange a time that is convenient at a location of your choice (i.e., home or work).

Gan Chev realizes that these are unprecedented times, when we must all do our part to ensure we help flatten the curve. We are hopeful that these steps will protect our staff and customers, while at the same time allows us to provide essential vehicle service to many people who still need to go to work and care for family members during these challenging times.

A MESSAGE TO OUR STAFF AND CUSTOMERS

As our understanding of COVID-19 grows, Gananoque Motors (Gan Chev) is taking necessary steps to protect our staff and customers.

We are aware of the outbreak in many communities and are doing our part to minimize the risk of infection here at Gan Chev.

We have communicated to our employees details of the virus and preventative steps to take that will protect our customers’ health. We have implemented extra daily cleaning of all common areas of the dealership and we have installed extra hand sanitizing stations in our service drive thru area and our main entrance. We have also implemented a policy to have all keys wiped down upon arrival at the dealership and before returning to a customer.

We are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of our staff and customers at this time and will be implementing a new cleaning procedure for all test drives and vehicles in for service.

We are asking our customers to assist us in our prevention efforts. If you are sick with a cough, have a fever, or recently travelled we are asking that you take advantage of our online services, which include, requesting a video walk around of any vehicle we have in stock on our website, filing out a credit application and booking a service appointment. Our sales staff are also happy to answer your questions or chat via our texting service on the website. You can also book a service appointment and request that we pick up your vehicle from home and return it to you, or check in at our self-serve kiosk.
