We were so happy to help 99.9 MYFM with their annual Poinsettia delivery this year! Several local business sponsored this great program and allowed us to deliver beautiful poinsettias to residents at Fox Run By the River, Carveth Care Home and the Seeley's Bay Retirement Residence.
During the month of November we purchased and collected donations of boxed stuffing for the Food Bank. These donations were used to create their Christmas Hampers, feeding local residents a Christmas dinner!
Red and Green Day at Gan Chev! Lots of fun was had leading up to Christmas with staff!
The week before Christmas the Gan Chev team gathered for a Staff Lunch and meeting in our showroom. We dressed in our festive best!!
Dale took our winter truck, otherwise known as snowflake, out on the town to deliver the CORUS Clothes for Kids snowsuits to local schools here in Gan.
Two Gan Chev drivers, Michael and Geoff drove some Gan Chev trucks in the Seeleys Bay Parade this month. They even got to meet Santa after!
The folks in Lansdowne thought a convertible would be a nice ride for the Santa Claus Parade.. Notice all the snow in the background!
We also did some fundraising this month for Movember! If you came in to the showroom, you probably saw all the moustaches around the dealership this month!

Halloween brought on our annual Costume Contest!
We were happy to support the annual fall fun fair at St. Joseph School in Gananoque. We were able to donate some prizes for their silent auction and hire a face-painter for their kids zone. Congratulations to the parent community who raised over $10,000 at the annual fun fair!
We were so happy to support the local Art Bomb Festival that was held on the last weekend of September. We were able to donate some sponsorship funds and donate an old car for the Art Bomb Graffiti Workshop!
We gave away some tickets for this amazing fundraiser this September! the lucky winner had a night of great music buy lots of local talent and supported 2 great causes, Home Base Housing and The Downie Wenjack Fund.
September means Smile Cookies time! As always we ordered boxes of smile cookies to help support our local breakfast clubs!
Elvis has left the building... or has he? Elvis was back in Gan at the Royal Theatre and we were happy to be able to give away some tickets to this awesome evening of entertainment right here in Gan!
We were happy to support the local movie theatre in June for their fundraising concert! They raised money for an air conditioning unit! It is very nice to have this little local theatre right in Gananoque.
This season we were the proud production sponsors of Anne of Green Gables at the local Thousand Islands Playhouse. We were so happy to see a family friendly show at our little theatre on the river!
This month we said goodbye to a very long time employee at Gan Chev. Many of you knew Chris, one of our very talented technicians in our service department! Chris was moved on to a new position and we were sad to see him go but wish him the best of luck!
When our local police force and local high school students passed by the dealership for the annual law enforcement torch run we lined both sides of the streets with dealership employees to show our support.
On Mc Happy Day our Service Manager Bill bought boxes of Big Mac’s and delivered them around the shop and showroom here at Gan Chev. A few staff members also went to McDonalds and ordered Happy Meals to support local Ronald McDonald House charities.
Tuesday, May 15th 2018 was National Denim Day in support of the Cure Foundation for breast cancer. Our dealership celebrated and supported this cause by having a BBQ, wearing denim and donating proceeds from our sales and service department to this good cause.
We teamed up with our local movie theater the Gan Silver Cinema to giveaway a family movie prize pack! 4 admissions, 4 popcorns and 4 drinks on us! Our Facebook followers shared with us some movie memories to enter!
Gan Chev was honored to be included in the annual Ride for Dad event in our community. The BBQ lunch was hosted on our lot and local talent Jeff Callery played some great tunes for us.
We celebrated National Denim Day this May! We held a staff BBQ to raise money and we also donated $5 for each vehicle sold during the month! We raised $350 for Breast Cancer research

We were happy to sponsor and host the annual Ride for Dad BBQ lunch on May 24th again this year! We had a great turn out despite the rain and enjoyed music from Smitty Kingston!

Gan Chev was a proud supporter of the 1000 Islands Writers Festival this April. The event brought many authors and storytellers to the Gananoque area for a weekend of songs, conversations, stories and activities.
The spring weather brought the annual business showcase to Gananoque! We were happy to attend this event and be a community sponsor. We had a great weekend chatting with customers and other local businesses.
The Delta Waterfowl Foundation was doing their annual earth day clean up at Cecil Graham Park and we were happy to loan them a Gan Chev Truck to help collect their bags of garbage! Nice work guys!
One of our favourite local places to eat was hosting a fundraising dinner on May 1st. All proceeds were being donated to Kingston and Area HIV and AIDS Services. During the last week of April we purchased a table for 2 to this great dinner and held a Facebook Contest to giveaway the dinner for 2!
Our friends at Rapunzel Hair Studio celebrated their 30th year in business this March! They celebrated in style with a Retro Video Dance Party to raise money for a charity near to their hearts, WaterAid! We were happy to donate a gift certificate to their silent auction table.
March was Cupcake Month!
Every Friday Teresa from our service department baked cupcakes that were then sold at the dealership for a donation to the humane society. We raised $113 for the shelter!
The ladies of Gan Chev celebrated International Women's Day by wearing Purple in March 8th!
The local skating club hosted their annual skating show and we were happy to help them out as an advertising sponsor this year!
Fronts Hockey!! We had a great Fronts prize pack to giveaway on our Facebook page this month!
We were happy to help our friends at the Humane Society out with their annual bottle drive! We helped raise $500 for the local no kill shelter.
Our friend Claire Bouvier was so excited about the official launch of her new TV show Feist-y in February. We were happy to support her by attending the launch night.
Snow Day Giveaway! February brought us lots of snow days... so we decided to give away some snow-brushes to help brighten your day!

A new year and a new look at vehicles! January brought us the MYFM Test Drive Series. Our friend Kerri at 99.9 MYFM is test driving a different vehicle each week and will be showcasing some features of each vehicle!

Gobble Gobble! To help out our local food bank we purchased 25 turkey's to donate to the Christmas hampers that they prepare. A special turkey even made the delivery to the food bank for us!
When we found out one of the local elementary schools was hosting a Christmas Turkey dinner for the school we just had to help out! We sent some elves to purchase juice boxes and volunteer at the event!
Kids in the community were happy to participate in our Christmas colouring contest! We had 3 lucky winners, one in each age group!

For the month of October we teamed up with our friends at TD Auto finance to help out the local Clothes for Kids fundraiser! We were able to purchase 20 snow suites and make a monetary donation of $1,500 to help local kids who need a snow suit for winter!

Who doesn't love a smile cookie!!! We were happy to support the Smile Cookie Campaign at our local Tim Hortons! We purchased 50 cookies and handed them out around the dealership! All proceeds went towards our local schools breakfast clubs.
We teamed up with the ladies from 99.9MYFM and drove around town in the community cruiser to hand out tickets to the Gananoque Boat Line! We surprised a lot of tourists and local community members by hanging out 40 tickets to the boat line here in town!
We teamed up with our friends at Gananoque Home Hardware to give a BBQ away to one of our lucky customers! Home Hardware graciously donated the BBQ to us and we had a great time picking up the BBQ and taking a little tour of the store!
We had a lot of fun putting together a Summer Staycation giveaway with 99.9MYFM. We were able to put together a great prize pack of fun local actives with the help of some great local businesses!
We had to say good bye to our friend "Gan Chev Gary", the mannequin in our customer lounge. As a goodbye gift we give-away a $25 gift card to Steel Style Garage on our Facebook page!

Every July we are proud sponsors of the Lansdowne Fair! Did you see our trucks there? Or maybe you saw our MPP Mr. Steve Clark in the fair parade? Gan Chev was happy to provide a car for Mr. Clark in the parade.
We took a trip to the Gananoque and District Humane Society and dropped of a donation cheque to them. While we were there we got to have a tour of their facility and learn a bit more about their no kill animal shelter. Our friends at Gananoque Home Hardware host charity BBQ's every Friday all summer long. One Friday in June we decided to head down to the BBQ with a pile of cash and buy some Home Hardware shoppers lunch! All proceeds go to local charities here in Gananoque.
June was seniors month! And to celebrate we spent one morning taking some friends from Carveth Care Center for drives around town in some of our favourite cars.
June 21st was International Yoga Day. Gan Chev teamed up with local yoga teacher Shannon Yates from the Ledger Room to host a fun little yoga class in our showroom. It was an odd place to do Yoga, but we had a great time. Thanks to The Ledger Room in Gananoque for helping us out with this fun activity! Humboldt Strong was a theme that was seen in our dealership and community during the month of April. We raised $1,910 that was donated to the Humboldt Strong Go Fund Me account. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the community of Humboldt.
Gan Chev was happy to be a part of the Gananoque Business Showcase this month. We chatted with a lot of people in the community, ran a fun contest and raised some money for our local humane society.
Some staff members took time out of their day to participate in the annual Pitch In Gan Day. We cleaned up our local park, the side streets around the dealership, our parking lot and our neighbours parking lots!

Our friends at the Mortgage Professionals Kingston were selling some snazzy socks in support of the Down Syndrome Association of Kingston. We were happy to get on board and purchase some socks for our very own sock connoisseur, our operations manager Mike Kellam.
Feb 1st -4th was the annual Guy Beaubien Squash Tournament in Gananoque. Our very own Jamie Higgs is one of the organizers of this fun memorial tournament! Gan Chev supported this great fundraiser and donated some prizes for their silent auction.
